HOW MUCH DOES IT COST FOR A BRAID?
BRAIDS are $10 extra on all styles.
HOW LONG DOES A BLOWOUT TAKE?
An appointment for The Blowout takes approximately 45 minutes. NOTE: If you have extensions or extra thick/long hair please let us know so that we can make sure to give you additional time if needed.
WHAT IF I HAVE BONDED HAIR EXTENSIONS?
All Stylists have completed DREAMDRY ACADEMY and have learned how to handle bonded extensions with care. However, DREAMDRY is not responsible for damaged or loose extensions as a result of a service at any of our locations.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ORIBE TREATMENT AND KERASTASE FUSIO-DOSE AND HOW LONG DO THEY TAKE?
Both treatments are nourishing, reparative treatments serviced at the same time as your wash.
The Oribe treatment is a masque and adds 10 minutes to your appointment time and can be booked online as a package with any blowout.
The Kerastase Fusio-Dose treatment is INSTANT and customized on site for your hair type. This does not add any time to your appointment and can be added day of service.
How long does a full set of Eyelash Extensions take?
Depending on the Eyelash Style you choose and the shape of your eye, application time ranges from 60-90 minutes.
How often do I need to get Eyelash Extension Touch-ups?
To maintain your lashes we recommend booking a touch-up appointment between 10-21 days from your service. If it has been over 21 days since your full set, you will need to book a new FULL SET appointment. Touch-up appointments take approximately 60 minutes.
How do I care for my Eyelash Extensions after my appointment?
How do I choose the look I want?
For both Makeup and Lashes, we will consult with you prior to your application to understand the exact look and style you are going for. For lashes specifically, we’ll determine what size and thickness your lashes can hold since each person’s lash type is different.
Do they damage your natural eyelashes?
Our eyelash Extensions are 100% safe and non-intrusive. Our expert specialists have been trained specifically to carefully apply our premium lashes to each individual eyelash.
How long will my Eyelash Extension Last?
With proper care your new lashes should last up to 6 weeks. NOTE: Your natural lashes typically grow out and turn over every 45 to 60 days, so we recommend coming in every 2-3 weeks for maintenance to make sure your lashes always looks full and fresh.
Gel polish and nail extensions are guaranteed to last one full week, but generally last two or more. Repairs during the first week are complimentary.
We cannot remove acrylic or any non-soak off enhancements.
Do you repair peeling Gel?
We are happy to repair a Gel Manicure or Valley Nail Extension within one week of the original appointment. The same applies to any three-dimensional art work such as crystals or adhesives.
There is a nominal charge for any of the above fixes after one week. We take every measure to ensure a long lasting polish manicure, however, due to the impermanent nature of traditional nail polishes and lacquers, we cannot guarantee the lifespan of regular polish manicures.
VALLEY NAIL EXTENSIONS
Our Nail Extension is a full cover nail that comes in over 160 sizes, and is a healthy alternative to traditional nail extensions.
A custom fitting ensures an exact fit, and sizes are saved in our records for future appointments.
I just had my nails done. Can I book an appointment just for Nail Art?
We take pride in the services we perform and we cannot guarantee the work from another salon or technician. Therefore, we are only able to offer appointments for Nail Art on nails we have personally manicured.
We cannot fill or overlay anything on existing acrylic, hard gel, silk wraps, or gel polish applications from another salon, as we cannot guarantee the results
Can I treat my bikini area if I’m on my period?
Yes, we can absolutely treat you when it’s that time of the month. However, people tend to be slightly more sensitive when they are on their period and you may experience more discomfort than usual.
How much do treatments really hurt?
Both waxing and laser hair removal can be uncomfortable, but in most cases the pre-appointment anxiety is worse than the real deal. Usually, the first treatment is the most uncomfortable, but at the end of the day, pain varies by person and body part. Just remember: every specialist has been trained in the best, least painful way to wax and laser.
How long do I wait between treatments?
For wax and brow treatments, we recommend four weeks. For laser hair removal, the general rule of thumb is between four and six weeks, but your specialist will let you know what works best for you.
What kind of wax do you use?
We have our own proprietary waxes that we import from Europe that are specially formulated to grip hair, not skin, so there’s no unneeded pulling and fewer ingrown hairs. Depending on the body part being waxed and your hair’s texture, we use a hard formula, a softer, strip-removable formula or a combination of the two to amp up efficiency while scaling down discomfort. Our signature formulas are truly one of a kind.
How does laser hair removal work?
When a specialist pulses the laser on the area being treated, the laser creates a beam of light that passes through skin and zeros in on the pigmentation in each hair follicle. This heats up the follicle and curbs it from making new cells — no new cells means no new hair. 95% of people will see at least 70% reduction in hair after 5 treatments.
Is laser hair removal really permanent?
Yes, laser hair removal permanently reduces hair growth. 95% of people will experience between 70% and 95% less hair on the treated area after a full series, but it can vary by person and body part. Most people need to touch-up any areas where new hair pop up every so often.
Will laser hair removal work for me?
We’d love to say “absolutely!” every time, but laser hair removal results vary depending on skin color, hair color and body part. Our best advice is to come in for a complimentary consultation with one of our specialists so we can take a look at the area and discuss your options. Often, we can find a permanent treatment plan that will work for you, but we want you to be happy with the result, so we’ll always be upfront if you are not the best candidate.
What types of laser machines do you use? Are they the same type I would find in a doctor’s office?
We only use top-of-the-line machines, meaning they are often better than what you’ll find in a doctor’s office. In fact, we’ve performed over half a million treatments — more than most doctors’ offices ever will. Depending on your hair and skin type, the body part being treated and your phase of treatment, we will use either the GentleLase, GentleYAG or BBL machines. No matter which one we use, our specialists are tirelessly trained to be pros in the technique and safety of each machine.
